This Saturday, May 17th at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Ca, Cage Combat Fighting Championships presents "Mayhem ." This series of MMA bouts is uniquely important as a friend, training buddy, and all around great guy Ben "the Butcher" Gerrett has his second professional fight scheduled. His first fight, and win by knockout, was at this Indian casino a little bit south of LA. It was Smurf’s first ever live fight, and I dare say that our favorite little pacifist had a ball!

I can get tickets from Ben for $50.00 a ticket with no Ticketmaster fee’s until the day of the fight, so if anyone is interested, let me know. So far 6 of us are going, and we can always start a convoy .

A little history: Ben and I met at a now defunct Sambo school in Oakland. Soon after we were training up in Sausalito under the guidance of Serge Gerlach . This was pretty damn cools as I not only met a fantastic group of people, but it was also classic underground martial arts training. (The only way to train!) So for the past 2 years or so, I have trained with some pretty amazing fighters, and Ben is one of the most passionate and talented fighters I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
