So the end of week 2 of my P90X Doubles regimen and I am yet again looking forward to the upcoming week. This past week was not a walk in the park, I tell ya. As of right now, I am BEAT! Sure, the day at Baker Beach on Saturday, then the BBQ Later that evening started to drain the heck out of me, but Sunday’s soccer game in the midday sun sucked the life out of me. I am really looking forward to sleeping tonight, and then starting fresh tomorrow.
The great thing about tomorrow, is that I can wake up to it rested, and attack it full force. Oh yeah!
Now for the mixed feelings stuff. This week was HOT. I mean really hot, and I am no longer a fan of working out when I am in an 80+ degree room. You get a great sweat, but the energy drain is immense. Especially in direct sunlight. How do those muscle heads at Venice Beach do it? Heck, Thursday I did late night yoga just to avoid the heat, and I was still forced to stop after 50 minutes because the sweat was running into my eyes, and burning the heck out of them. Hard to maintain a balance posture when you are trying to rub the sweat from your eyes!
Oh yeah, and I also got my second wacky sunburn in so many weeks. The last wacky one was this oval located between my pecks. I had slathered down with sunscreen, but I must have missed that spot. DOH. So a funny red oval. This one is just as dumb, yes, I have burned the shit out of the inside of my belly button. Remember people, when you are lying out, get the inside of your belly button, else it turns pretty friggen red!
I hope everyone is keeping up the hard work. We were getting great stories from Sherri this weekend about how she could not use her arms for 2 days after her boot camp. HA! She went all out, and had a “I can’t touch the top of my head to wash my hair” moment. SWEET!!! We have all been there!
Rumor is that Hizzle is getting back into action after her last bout with the common cold.
We also have a FitLifeSFer who is addicted to military push ups at the moment, but I hope she tells you about it before I let the cat out of the bag.
Have a great start of the week people! Get to commenting, and let us know how you are doing!
