New Records, New Goals… Mid-Month Check-in
Well, folks, it is halfway through June… do you know where your goals are?
When I did my mid-month check-in, I realized that I set some of my running goals too low, and still need to put some major effort behind some others. So, here we go with a mid-month reality check…
My original goal for the month was to run 6 miles in 53 minutes (the length of my PodFitness workouts.)
Well, I’m pleased to say that I smoked that one yesterday (if not last week.) In fact, I set all new “personal bests” on my run yesterday!
Farthest Run: 7.52 Miles
Fastest 1 Mile: 8:58
Fastest 5K: 29:01
Fastest 10K: 58:13
So, my revised goal is to run 20 miles per week, or 80 miles in 4 weeks. Follow my progress here:
I also am not on track to hit my weight goals, so I’ll be on a no-booze cleanse through July 4th weekend.
And, I’ve not made progress on my pull-up goals, so I’ll be having Rob run me through my pull-up program every other day.
So, how are you tracking against your goals? Are there any you need to re-assess?
I’m behind on last week for two reasons: Bonus Day at work and bad shoes. Not bad, but I need new ones. So I missed my run on Saturday due to lack of food and an abundance of alcohol, and then ran yesterday to wake up to vile shin splints today…which means I won’t be running tonight, either.
So my goal? To be a good girl and when I say I’m not drinking, to not drink. And to make it successfully through my ten-miler this Saturday.
Illness has seriously fucked up this session of bootcamp for me…I’ve missed something like 9 classes, eek! So I’d say I’ve been maintaining, but not improving. Like Smurf and Jody, I think I need to swear off the demon alcohol for awhile until I’m really healthy.
