P90X Doubles, a day after a SAMBO Seminar. OWWWWW

July 7th, 2008 by FitLifeSFRob · 1 Comment

So this morning I began my two-a-days, an even more intensive version of P90X classic.  The thing that makes it tougher than normal is the 3 added cardio sessions a week.  The program has me doing “Cardio X” in the morning, then the standard hardcore work outs in the evening.  Well, if you have been reading along, I pretty much thrashed “Cardio X” in an earlier post, and my mind changed this morning.  Alone, this workout is pretty lame, but as a supplemental work out, it seems to be perfect.  I must say, early this morning it kicked my ass.  (I really hate working out in the morning)

Now, after the beating I took yesterday (SAMBO Seminar) I expected to feel like complete crap this morning, but I felt pretty damn good.  Then I worked out, and after powering through it, I felt much better.  I really needed to get the joints moving this morning.

Later this evening I have “Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps” and “Ab-Ripper X” the end of Day 1 “Doubles”.  So for the next week I am doing extra cardio on MWF, and this continues from weeks 5 though 8.  Should be interesting to see the results.

Which reminds me, almost time for new pics to be taken and do ye ‘ol compare.

The big thing that has come out of me doing this more intense work out, is that even though I tend to eat a lot, I am still not eating enough.  (I actually have to start doing some tracking to see how off I am, I am estimating that I am at least 1 full meal and at least 1 snacks worth of calories down.  (700 Calories or so)  Oh boy, what I will do to not plateau!

OK peeps, as this is a site which is founded on not going completely overboard, have I gone to far?  All in name of staying fit, to be able to kick ass for 2 days at a fighting seminar, and then jump right back into my regular life with little or no down time?  Is this way to extreme?

I don’t think so, but I may be a little close to the action.

I know I speak for the rest of the community when I say that I can’t wait for the photos! Hee!

You should check out http://www.TheDailyPlate.com – I am using it to track my food in preparation for seeing the nutritionist later this week (blog to come) and it looks to be way better than FitDay, the site I’ve been using for years.
