Yesterday was Tony Horton’s Birthday (July 2, 2008)

Tony Horton

Not the baseball player, the personal trainer and P90X front man. So, why do I mention this to the masses? Well, because at 50 years old, this guy is in better shape than most 20 year olds. Amazing. Fitness wise, I aspire to be in the kind of shape he is in.

To me, seeing that it is possible to be in amazing shape at 50 is truly inspiring. To be able to be fit enough to not only look good, but stay athletically competitive is what I want. My hat is off to Tony Horton! Happy Birthday, and I hope this is his best year ever.

(As a side note, I’d ask how he does it, but he pretty much explains it in his videos. P90X will keep you young!)

  1. Anyone know how tall Tony is? Figure he is around 5’8″ to 6’2″ and goes anywhere from 170 to 200

  2. Rob thinks he’s about 5′ 8″. Rob’s pretty obsessed with figuring out how tall he is– Every time we see him in photos or even in the videos he tries to compare him to the other people and equipment in the room to figure out his height. I don’t think it’s been published anywhere, though.

  3. I’d love to find out his height too. I’ve been doing P90X for over three months now, and also following their nutrition plan because my main goal has been to lose weight.

I chatted with Tony Horton two nights ago in the VIP Beachbody.com chatroom and he told me he weighed in at 174.9 “this morning” which was Feb.17th or 18th, 2010. I’d love to know his height too just to compare him with myself at this point since my weight loss has totally stopped in the last month. I’ve gained 2 lbs.

I guess I’m building a lot of muscle, blah, blah, blah but it’s killing me that I can’t lose weight anymore even though I’m doing literally every little thing right. My only option left is to increase my calories and my carbs because I think I have totally worn out a higher protein type diet. It’s just not working like it did 2-3 months ago.

Anyways, I’m rambling. I know for a fact that Horton weighs 174.9 because he told me so. If he is 5’8″, that would make me feel a lot better about my weight loss since I’m 6’0″, 177.4 as of five minutes ago.

Anyways, looks like it’s back to the grind. Time to up my calories and hoping that works because I can’t possibly go any lower than the 1800 calories a day that I have been averaging over the past 20 some days.

Good luck to anyone out there reading this looking to improve their fitness and health.

    Cheers
