Do Not Recommend – eDiscountVitamins.com
Hey gang,
Wanted to spread the word on a pretty crappy experience I had recently with a company called eDiscountVitamins.com. They had the best price on the Endurox Excel supplement that I take a month before a goal race. (Also, the packaging has recently changed, so it hasn’t been at Road Runner Sports, where I usually get it.) I placed my order on Dec. 11, along with some supplements I ordered for Rob from another online source, Badasssupplements.com. Rob’s arrived four or five days later. No sign of mine. Another week goes by and I search my email to be sure I wasn’t imagining having ordered them. Find the receipt and check the status- There is no status available. I send an email to the store. A few days later I get a “mail delayed” error. I send a few more emails to the domain owner and another out to the info@ address. Finally, yesterday I call the 888 number – it doesn’t work! Eventually I send a mail to the company telling them that I would be reversing the charge and logging a complaint with Yahoo! (they are a Yahoo! merchant.) And, this morning I wake up to this:
“Hello,
I am having a problem with the store and all orders were canceled. There is no need to call your bank as the credit card was never charged. I am sorry for the inconvenience I have caused. No need to contact Yahoo as I have done nothing wrong. I am sorry you feel this way.”
Done nothing wrong? Sorry I feel this way? Pardon me for thinking that if you are in the vitamin and health supplements biz, you are taking on some responsibility for people’s HEALTH. You don’t just not let people know that the orders they’ve placed will never be arriving! It takes a full 30 day cycle for the Endurox Excel to work it’s magic, and my goal race is Feb. 1. I am now scrambling to have the product rush ordered from elsewhere. But that’s just me and my silly goal race. What if I was a pregnant woman waiting on her prenatals, an arthritic grandma waiting on her glucosamine, or someone else waiting on supplements on doctor’s orders?
Sorry, but if you want to behave in such a flip manner and shirk the responsibility, I’d suggest you look into the Adult Novelty business.
What’s ironic about this is one of my vendors (a col) actually runs both types of businesses – vitamins *adult* novelties. I sure hope he’s not the one involved….
