Project Trish: My Goals “Do You Know Where You’re Going To?”

January 18th, 2009 by Smurf · 4 Comments

Trish Circa Size 8 I wonder if I’m going to start out all my posts with song lyrics. Hmmm… It’s just turning out that way.

Tonight, I wanted to write about what my goals are for this journey.

Overall, for me anyway, it’s not about a number.

My goal is to get healthy, to feel good about myself, to have more energy, not feel so crappy physically all the time. I have aches and pains someone my age should not have, and I know it’s because of the extra weight I carry every day. I’d like to live a longer, fuller life. I’d like to be as healthy as possible going into middle age to prevent serious health complications. (Photo: Trish circa Size 8 )

Heather (Smurf) has mentioned that I’m the lead singer of a high energy rock band. To really perform like I want, it’s not just about having the pipes- those I have. But I like to deliver a spirited performance live that really gets the audience pumped up. To do that I need to become much fitter. I don’t want to be the weak link in Psychokitty. My guys are amazing and so talented and I don’t want to let them down.

I’ve got a great wardrobe that I’ve been storing for the past several years. Cool designers, fun party clothes and 2 pairs of hot leather pants, 1 custom that are just collecting dust. That’s shameful. I love my clothes, and loved looking good in them. What girl doesn’t enjoy getting second and third looks while out and about- I miss that. I miss being treated like a human being when I’m shopping or in public. I know how it feels when you’re looking good and salespeople are eager to help you, men open doors, etc- that hasn’t happened in a long time.

I’d like for my boyfriend to be proud of me. I know he loves me, as I am. I’m very lucky that he sees beyond what my waistline is. Still, I know our relationship would sizzle even more if I looked-and felt- better physically. He also would like me to be around longer and not drop dead of a heart attack too young because I’ve abused my body being heavy. A much happier Trish would make Dave happy as well. My guy is pretty cute and I’d like those “why is he with HER” looks to stop.

But mostly, I want to look and feel like myself again. Because I don’t feel like myself, and I don’t feel I look like myself either. I look like an exaggerated caricature of myself, IMHO. I don’t need to be super buff or stick thin- that’s not me either. I have curves at my best weight and I don’t want to lose them. I have no aspiration to look like anyone else- just the best ME possible.

So where do I want to be when this is finished? Ideally I’d like to be back in about a size 8. That would make me overjoyed. Only one chin, please thank-you-very-much. Cellulite- banished. Boobs back down to a DD where they belong.

Hey guys, do you think I can get a couple of inches in height with this order? :)
