Boy Oh Boy have I been slacking on the updates

falling off the wagon

It seems to have been a while.  Yikes.  I need to get back on the wagon, so to speak.  The last 2 months for me have been pretty chaotic.  Work has really asserted itself into my training schedule.  Due to injury and the damn flu, I was out of commission for about 3 weeks, and I have added 2 more days of SAMBO into my weekly workouts.  I really need to put some order back into my regimen.

For anyone who is interested in my new training schedule:

Week: 1-3

For my birthday Trish picked me up a ” Check it out” pack for the TRX Fitness Class, I am going to mix in a few of these to see not only how the workouts are, but how viable their training gear is.  It looks like it may be good stuff, as I am a big advocate of body weight work.  More to come on that.

As per norm, my biggest struggles have been with regimenting my diet.  For all of you who are spacing their calories over 3 meals and 2-3 snacks, YES, I know it is a pain.  At first.  I, like everyone else, have to turn this into habit!  Way to often I look at the clock after I get out of bed, and realize I didn’t eat anything until noon.  Not beacause I was in bed till noon (I wish) but because phone calls, e-mails and meetings get in the way.

I need to take my own advice and make the time, turn it into habit, and prestage a number of my snack and meals to make it easier.  This should be easy as Smurf is the queen of such things.  Should be.  We all have our weaknesses, and this is one of my biggest.  My New Years resolution was/is to get my diet under control, as I know that the great results I saw last year will be 2-3 times better with proper diet.

I’ll do it!  With the help of my friends, my work out buddies, and my own initiative.  Hells yeah!

Just so you know, if you have any questions about what I do, P90X or any of the Beach Body fitness systems, please ask!

  1. I love it when you get more committed, as it makes it way easier for me to be more committed. Perhaps we should take some photos and measurements tonight and do a monthlong “sprint?”
