FitLifeSF Challenge- The Big Results Show!
The results are in from the FitLifeSF 10-Week Challenge, and everyone who finished the challenge saw some wonderful results! Without further ado…
Coming in first place, racking up a sizable lead before heading into the visual round by losing 11.3% of bodyweight, and going from 25.6% bodyfat to 20.45%, it’s… well, it’s me! Smurf! I’ll be putting up a post in the next few days with my thoughts on the challenge.
Coming up close behind in weightloss with a solid ten-pound (6.2%) loss and going from enviable abs to “Holy Moses, pound a nail with those things,” it’s… Lizzie!

Placing high for visible results, it’s Rob, who dropped 3% of his weight and 3 points off his bodyfat (and will post his photos with a larger 10-week recap soon), and Jody who harnessed the power of Go Go to get get back into prime shimmying shape.
And the rest of the contestants had great results, as well!
Margaret really enjoyed her Netflix workout video approach– until an obsession with needlepoint got in the way. Regardless, walking to work and spending lots of time out with her doggie and step-doggies helped her reach her weightloss goals just a week after the close of the contest.
Philip took off a full bodyfat percentage point and is exploring ways to step things up with his workout program and defy the dreaded plateau.
If anyone hears from Cathy and Loren, we’d love to know how they are doing! Maybe they got so carried away that they decided to Elliptigo from San Francisco to LA with Dean Karnazes or something.
Special thanks go to our visual judges, Rafe from ShrinkGeek and Digital Discipline and Ben “The Butcher” Mose (Garrett) a professional MMA fighter with a show on Ozcat Radio that you should totally check out.
We hope you’ll find inspiration in what these contestants were able to accomplish in 10 short weeks, and join us in a future challenge!
(Scoring details: Numerical scores from visual judging were added to percent weight lost. Smurf: 25.3, Rob 18, Lizzie 12.2)

Congratulations Smurfie! You look awesome- I’m so glad you won
Thank you for organizing the challenge, it was really fun.
We’ll see if I continue this plateau thingy next Friday when I have my beginning of the month measurements taken.
I have just been able to break through the barrier I had of not being able to work out unless I had a trainer.
We are at a point where I see her twice a week and I go on my own w a “homework” assignment the third day.
I’ll “weigh” in with what the supplements do for me breaking through the plateau barrier beginning of May.
And then I’ll let you know how my cabanas boy circuit dancing career takes off!
