I must say it was a rousing success. Seems like everyone enjoyed our seminar, and all the other instructors did a fantastic job. Thanks to the Ren Martial Arts Crew for invitng us, and letting us share in the weekend with everyone.
My hat is off the the people at Plum Dragon herbs! They are life savers!
I have been training in martial arts since I was 14 years old. (WOW, that means it has been 21 years. Insane.) At some point I was introduced to Dit Da Jow, and I learned that if you get the right recipe, this stuff really works. Most of the time I would receive bottles from friends who had their “family” recipe batches, and they would keep me pretty well stocked. (A little goes a long way) So picture this, I am getting ready to leave for the most intense training trip I have ever been on, and I AM OUT OF JOW! So, what to do?
I have to say, last month was a bear. I threw out my back for part of the month, and then spent the last week and a half fighting this damn cold that is going around. But YESTERDAY (4/6/09) I started over. And that is what staying fit is all about. We all hit hurdles, we hit injuries but we persevere. So, we get discouraged, we feel crappy, we don’t want to move. Well, get the hell over it. You have to in other areas of your life, so do the same with working out.
So, here I am again, a new 90 day training cycle. (Yep, an attainable goal!)
Wow, a non-P90X post by Rob? Holy…
I have to say that this week Sambo work out was rough. Maybe it was my early rise to go find Smurf at the 1/2 Marathon she ran. Maybe I was still kicked from Back and Legs on Friday. Maybe I am just a wimp. Who knows.
What I do know is that it took nearly 2 hrs for my legs and hips to finally loosen up, and then rolling with Ben and Rob took the rest of the energy I had left. Though my endurance was way better than last week, I was thrashed after working out for 2.5 hrs. Age be damned, I should be able to keep competing, and I will! That is why I do this, to feel young, alive constantly sore.
Speaking of sore, tomorrow is the beginning of week 2 of cycle 4. More chest and back! Oh my!
